Meet our Staff...
Eugene is the owner of LaPierre Ballroom. Eugene is a Ballroom and Latin dance teacher and adjudicator with over 20 years experience. While Eugene was on the competition floor he was an American Smooth Rising Star and Open Professional champion. He is also the owner and founder of Ballroom Dancing 4 a Better U, a non-profit 301(c) charity. He is part of The Gloucester County & Greater Woodbury Chamber of Commerce who founded Dancing with the Gloucester County Stars and raised over 2.1 million dollars for different local charities. Lastly, Eugene is a Professor at Rowan University teaching Ballroom dancing and also founded their now very successful Ballroom Dance Team.
Jonathan is our manager here at LaPierre Ballroom. Jonathan is a Ballroom and Latin dance teacher with over 12 years experience. He is also a competitor in all different styles. Jonathan has many achievements including Professional American Rhythm finalist, NASPDA American Rhythm finalist and Smooth Champion, and 2010 Salsa World Champion.
Krystal is a Ballroom and Latin teacher here at LaPierre Ballroom. She has been training and competing in Ballroom and Latin for 14 years. Krystal is a former Ohio Star Ball National Collegiate champion in Open Rhythm and is now dancing and competing in Open Professional American Rhythm. Krystal has also been studying Ballet for 10 years along with Tap, Jazz, and Modern for 8 years. Krystal is working towards her BA in Fine Arts and recently choreographed and produced her own dance piece in Rowan University's Choreography Showcase, "HerView".
Jayson teaches Ballroom and Latin at LaPierre. Jayson has been dancing the Latin style dances since he was 9 years old. When he moved to the U.S. about 10 years ago, he began training and competing in all styles. Jayson is also a former Ohio Star Ball National Collegiate champion in Open Rhythm and is now dancing and competing in Open Professional American Rhythm. Jayson has also studied some Ballet and Jazz.
Sean is a Ballroom and Latin teacher at LaPierre Ballroom. He has been studying African Dance styles for 15 years. 10 years ago Sean was introduced to Ballroom and Latin and began his training and competing. Sean is a former Collegiate champion in both American Rhythm and International Latin and now competes in Open Latin. Sean also studied Ballet and Jazz for a few years.
Ryan teaches both Ballroom and Latin here at LaPierre Ballroom. Ryan has been studying a variety of styles since she was 10 years old; including Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. About 8 years ago Ryan was introduced to Ballroom and Latin and began her training and competing. Ryan is a former Collegiate champion in both American Smooth and American Rhythm.
